The 48 Hour Film Project took place in Saigon from June 10-11th, 2017. Different teams of young filmmakers compete to make the best short film in two days and one night. This is a sleepless and highly pressured experience great for young filmmakers to test their skills and meet potential future collaborators. This year, each entry must have all required three elements: two characters, a prop, and a specific line. All competing films will be screened in Saigon and Hanoi from July 24-27th. Furthermore, Gremsy, a renowned camera stabilization technology company based in Saigon, has become a major supporter of the event. They will give away 2 Gremsy H3 Stabilizers to selected distinguished films. Also, all teams will get a 25% discount when buying Gremsy gimbals in June 2017.
The competition and festival focus on teamwork and encourage aspiring filmmakers to be proactive. Filmmakers pay a fee to enter the competition but can win substantial prizes and exposure. Selected experienced filmmakers and video professionals served as judges. The event is held internationally in major cities.
